Auburn Teams Head to State Soccer Championships

Three United Soccer of Auburn teams are headed to the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions this weekend.

The girls U12 team coached by Tim Norris, U16 team coached by Breyn Brothers, and the girls U19 team coached by Pete Chestna all advanced this past weekend, winnung their respective Midland Area Youth Soccer league championship games.

U12-Norris won the girls U12 Division 1 MAYS title after defeating Mendon-Upton 2-1 last weekend, and beating Sutton 3-2 this past Saturday. the team is now 8-0-2 on the season.

U16-Brothers defeated Mountain Club (Sterling) 7-0 on Saturday to advance to MTOC. The GU16 team was 7-0-1 on the season, with an astounding 39-2 goals for/goals against record.

Girls U19- Chestna defeated Quabbin 6-0 Sunday night at Memorial Field in Auburn.  The U19 team is now 8-0-1 on the season.  This is the team’s third straight MAYS championship.


The teams will head to the Mass Youth Soccer complex in Lancaster to compete for the state title in their age group over the weekend.
