Robert Everett Bjork, 55 of Charlton, died unexpectedly on Saturday June 7th, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

Bob leaves his wife of 32 years, the love of his life, Linda M. (Auger) Bjork; their two children, Jenae M. Bjork and her significant other Joel Roy of Southbridge, and Corey O. Bjork and his fiancée Laura Aucoin of Auburn; a grandson, Sylis E. Roy; a brother, Nick Bjork and his wife Muriel of Worcester; two sisters, Judith Bjork of Auburn and Jean Koleshis of Ware; a sister-in-law, Susan Bjork, wife of Robert’s late brother William; mother-in-law, Carolyn Auger; sister-in-law, Ann Marie Olsen and her husband David of Maine; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was predeceased by his sister Joanne Riendeau and her husband Henry Riendeau.

Robert was born in Worcester on March 25th, 1959 to his parents, the late Carl O. and Mildred (Knowlton) Bjork.

After graduating from Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1977, Bob went on to become a construction supervisor for FW Madigan. He had previously worked for Vitkus and Cutler Associates.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his newborn grandson Sylis, whom he adored. In his free time, Bob enjoyed scuba diving, restoring cars, taking trips on his motorcycle, putting on firework shows, and listening to country music. He was also a member of the Auburn Elks and the Auburn Sportsman’s Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, located at 91 Central St. in Auburn, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 5-8 PM. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12 PM at the First Congregational Church of Auburn, located at 128 Central St. in Auburn.
