Back in the spring, Brian Goodrich was running a successful asphalt business, enjoying his family, and looking forward to warmer “riding weather.” All that changed on April 22 when Brian was injured when a large piece of equipment struck his head. Brian was critically injured, but pulled through and has since spent over 4 months in area hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.
About 4 weeks ago, Brian was allowed to go back to his home in Oxford with 24 hour aide support. He faces months of rehabilitation, but his wife and two teenage daughters are just excited to have him home again.
With Brian’s business the main income for the family, this time has been difficult emotionally as well as financially. Friends of Brian’s and the Goodrich family have organized a benefit on September 29th that will start at Sheldon’s Harley Davidson for a bike run, and finish up at Halligan’s Sports Bar and More for a benefit party featuring food and raffle items.
