by | Mar 27, 2014

At 4:10 pm Wednesday, Auburn Fire Rescue was dispatched to the Town of Charlton for a reported structure fire on AF Putnam Rd. The fire went to 4 alarms and Auburn sent Engine 2 for a tanker shuttle. Crews also worked interior. Water was shuttled to the scene from a dry hydrant in a nearby development. Also on scene assisting Charlton were Oxford, Dudley and Leicester.

The fire appeared to start in an attached garage, and the windy conditions allowed the fire to spread quickly to the house, which was very heavily damaged. No one was injured.
