Free Baseball Clinic at Auburn High Saturday

by | Mar 26, 2014

Auburn High School baseball is hosting a free baseball clinic this Saturday March 29, from 9am-12pm at the AHS gymnasium.

The goal of the clinic is to teach the essentials of pitching, hitting, fielding and base running. Players will be separated into age specific groups. Each camper will be presented with fundamental skills through a series of discussions, demonstrations, drills and games.

In the offensive section of the clinic, the campers will talk about and participate in skill development exercises in confidence, swing mechanics and bunting.

The pitching drills of the clinic will break down the wind-up and teach balance.

In the defense/base running portion of the clinic, campers will participate in a circuit of stations that review sliding, leads and tagging up as well as infield, outfield and catching. The community clinic will provide ample time for learning and fun.

Preregistration is requested, but not required.  You can download the brochure with the full schedule and registration information here:  Baseball Free Clinic 2014
