Municipal Buildings Reopening to the Public February 22, 2022

by | Feb 22, 2022

In January, based on significant increases in Covid cases in Auburn as well as in our region and statewide, Auburn closed all municipal buildings to the public (other than the lobby areas of the Police Station and Fire Rescue headquarters). This measure was put into place to protect the health and safety of employees, ensure continuity of essential municipal operations, and protect the public.

Given recent community data for Auburn and recently revised State Covid guidelines, and in consultation with the Town’s Public Health Division, all municipal buildings that have been closed to the public since early January due to rising Covid cases, will reopen Tuesday, February 22nd.

The Drive Through Kiosk and Outside Service Window at the Treasurer/Collector’s Office will remain open through Friday, March 11th to continue to provide the public with an option to access Town services without entering the Town Hall. Those wishing to come into the building to conduct business in-person are welcome to do so as of February 22nd.
