AUBURN – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing there will be emergency bridge deck repairs scheduled for the I-90 bridge over Route 12 at exit 90. The repair work will require the I-290 westbound exit 12 A off-ramp to I-90 to be temporarily closed, and traffic to be detoured, on Wednesday, February 9, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

The detours are as follows:

Traffic will be directed to use exit 11 B (Route 20 westbound) and follow the detour signage in place to access I-90 at exit 78 in Sturbridge.

Additionally, on Wednesday, February 9, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning, traffic traveling on Route 12 southbound looking to access I-290/I-395 will be detoured through the ramp system.

Advance warning signs will be used onsite to notify drivers about the planned closures and provide updates.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
