Janet Christine (Chalon) Tsantinis passed away on Monday, December, 27 in the loving company of her family.

Janet was an especially compassionate person with the biggest heart. She spent her life and career caring for others. As a family practice triage nurse, Janet was known for her empathy and going far above and beyond for her patients. She was known for her sense of humor and at times was inappropriate with a lack of filter. She was always making those around her laugh and smile.

Janet loved making every holiday festive and full of memories. Especially Christmas, which was her absolute favorite. She loved the beach, music, all things chocolate and immersing herself in a good book. She read every issue of the New York Post, which her husband would purchase for her every morning.

Janet was also the biggest New England sports fan. A Celtics or Red Sox game was rarely missed. When her children were young she would quiz them on the names and numbers of the Celtics’ team, and the only thing she truly despised in life were the New York Yankees.

Janet leaves behind her husband and love of her life, Dimitrios (Jimmy) Tsantinis. Her daughter Anita (Tsantinis) Shaw and husband Eric, and her son Nicholas Tsantinis and his wife Megan. Janet was most loving and proud of her three grandsons Brandon Nicholas Shaw, Harrison Alexander Shaw and Bode Barrows Tsantinis. They were her whole heart. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Gregorios Tsantinis, his wife Kathy and their two children Theo and Alex, niece Rona Roy and nephew Andy Tsantinis. Janet is predeceased by her father Francis Chalon, her mother Anita Largesse, her siblings and more recently, her beloved dogs Maggie and Rocco.

Janet spread her love well beyond her family–always caring for and asking about her children’s best friends. She will be deeply missed by many. Her children and grandsons were not only her pride and joy, but her life. She taught them to love fully, treat others the way you would want to be treated, and to always, without fear, be the best version of themselves.

At the request of the family, a celebration of Janet’s life will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Family Health Center at http://www.fhcw.org/en/Donate/Donate or by mail at Development Office, Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc., P.O.
