Let’s learn about spiders at the Auburn Library on Thursday, October 14 from 3;30-4:15pm.
This fun, educational program teaches children about the many different species of spiders and how they are useful to us. How do they spin their webs? How do they use all 8 legs! Will spiders hurt you? What kinds live around here?
Children will read stories, see a short video clip, play a match-up spider game, and talk about spiders. A simple, fun craft, making a colorful spider decoration will follow. For those interested, we’ll also go on a ‘spider walk’ in the Library backyard, at the end of the program.
*There are no real spiders as part of this program; . Children who are squeamish may not enjoy the program. *The back of the Merriam Room will be set up for parents, including toys, for children too young for the program.
