The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be continuing paving operations on I-290 eastbound and westbound in Worcester. The work will require intermittent temporary lane closures and on and off-ramp closures between exit 20 (East Central Street) and exit 24 (Plantation Street) each night from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. beginning Sunday evening, September 19, through Friday morning, September 24. Only one ramp at a time will be closed during the paving operations.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
