Jason M. Rutelonis, 41, longtime Auburn resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 11th, 2021.

Jason leaves his beloved wife, Julie C. (Russell) Rutelonis, with whom he would’ve celebrated 14 years of marriage on the 21st; their two boys, Jake A. Rutelonis and Cody M. Rutelonis; his parents, John M. and Patricia A. (Mazzone) Rutelonis, of Cherry Valley; his brother, Joseph V. Rutelonis and his wife Taang, of Auburn; his in-laws, James D. and Janice C. Russell, of Worcester; his sister-in-law, Jillian (Russell) Ahern and her husband James, of Shrewsbury; his brother-in-law, James D. Russell, III and his wife Katelyn, of Worcester; as well as many nieces, one nephew, many aunts and uncles, including his special aunts, JuJu and Pam.

Born in Worcester, raised and educated in Leicester, Jason was a graduate of Leicester High School, Class of 1997. He then received his Associate’s degree from the University of Phoenix. Jason married Julie, the love of his life, on July 21, 2007 at St. Christopher Church in Worcester. Most recently, he worked for Griffin Electric for the last three years and would’ve received his Journeyman license in six months.

Jason was known for his love of the Great Outdoors, spending his winters skiing, snowmobiling, and ice-fishing; spending his summers boating and fishing. He also loved Fantasy Football, and coaching for Auburn Youth Sports – Lacrosse, Flag Football, and Basketball. Jason was the life of the party, befriending everyone he met and always putting others before himself. Above all, his kids and family came first; they were his world. Jason will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jason’s family between 2:00 and 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, July 19th, 2021 at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn – please kindly proceed directly to church. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
