AUBURN – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be implementing temporary overnight closures of the off-ramps from exit 90 on Interstate 90 to Interstate 290 eastbound and to Interstate 395 in Auburn. The closures are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 29, during overnight hours from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning. The closures are needed to allow crews to conduct routine maintenance operations.
During the work, traffic looking to access I-290 or I-395 will be directed to exit onto Route 12 southbound and take an immediate left on to the I-290 and I-395 ramp.
Message boards, signs, traffic control devices, and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers safely through the work zone.
MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
