Auburn Young Scientists: ‘STEM Beginnings’ starts May 12

The Auburn Public Library has again been selected to partner with and host the Young Scientists hands-on enrichment program funded by YFCP, a grant program supported by the MA Department of Early Education & Care, administered by the YMCA of Central Massachusetts and presented by STEM Beginnings LLC.

Children ages 3-6 will learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time, music and movement, STEM challenges, and age-appropriate experiments. This is a six-week series.  Each program will be open for registration one week before the next date.

Each week is a different program theme. The first week  on 5/12 is ‘Celebrating Springtime’.

All programs are on consecutive Wednesdays, from 11:00am – 11:45am

Session Dates: May 12, May 19, May 26, June 2, June 9, June 16

Parents or caregivers provide the materials, all of which can easily be found in most households, or substitutes can be used. The materials’ listing will be updated on the children’s supplemental website each week at www.apl-stayconnected.org

Stories are available from our supplemental children’s site at www.apl-stayconnected.org. Registration is not required to listen to the stories. They are available to everyone for the duration of the six-week STEM series. New stories will be available when each new registration opens.
