David H. “Dave” Graves, 86, of Auburn, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Southbridge Rehabilitation Center.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Theresa M. (Moriarty) Graves; his three children, Michael D. Graves, Deborah A. Fahey, & Patricia L. Lyon; his six grandchildren, Adam and Madelyn Graves, Joseph and Sarah Fahey & Benjamin and Kevin Lyon; his two great-grandchildren, Ila Rose and Cameron Fahey; along with several nieces and nephews. His parents, the late Howard S. and Hilda E. (Parker) Graves, predeceased him, as well as his five siblings: Donald Graves, Dorothy Recko, Pauline Rose, Marion Carpenter, and Betty Sachs.

Dave graduated with the Auburn High School’s Class of 1942 and shortly thereafter began a career of nearly 40 years with the former Norton Company of Worcester. In his free time, Dave enjoyed fishing, hunting and volunteering; he took great pride in his care of the grounds of the 200 Sportsmen Club in Webster which he maintained for many years. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Dave was a long-time member of the 200 Sportsmen Club and the First Congregational Church of Auburn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 200 Sportsmen Club, 184 Sutton Road, Webster, MA 01570. Private graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
