Preschool screening is a very simple assessment process that provides information about a child’s development and identifies possible areas of weakness. Trained personnel administer simple standardized tests that look at large motor, small motor, basic skills, and language development.
Children residing in Auburn, who will be three on or before September 1, 2021, and have not yet entered Kindergarten, are eligible for Auburn’s Preschool Screening Program. No parent is required to have his or her child screened, but parents with questions or concerns about their child’s development should call to make an appointment.
Screenings are done by appointment only. To be put on a screening list please call Kate Flynn at 508-832-7752
Please share this information. Even if your family is not eligible or has no need for Preschool screening, you can help a friend or neighbor who might need this service by telling them about Auburn’s Preschool Screening.
