Nancy M. (Beauregard) Roy, 85, longtime Auburn resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020, at Life Care Center of Auburn. She was the devoted wife of the late Francis J. Roy, who passed in 1997.

Born and raised in Worcester, Nancy was one of two children born to the late George E. Beauregard and Gertrude M. (Egan) Phaneuf. She was a graduate of Commerce High School, prior to beginning an extensive waitressing career at the former York Steakhouse in the Auburn Mall, until their closure. Nancy then began her career as a crossing guard in Auburn, where she was most loved by those she helped and served, retiring after 20 years.

In her free time, Nancy enjoyed sewing, knitting, for her grandchildren, and finding special antiques. She was an avid Red Sox fan. Nancy loved animals, especially her beloved Benji.

Nancy was also a faithful communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Auburn for many years.

She is survived by her children: Donna M. Conway and her husband Richard, of Harmony, FL, David F. Roy and his wife Cynthia, and Robert F. Roy and his wife Debra, all of Auburn; her grandchildren: Kimberly, Amy, Ryan, Daniel, Katelyn, and David; and her great-grandson, Landon; as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her husband, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Paul Beauregard, in 2017, and her stepfather, Edgar Phaneuf.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (donate3.cancer.org/).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Nancy’s family between 9:00 and 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, where masks and social distancing measures will be required. Due to current COVID-19 guidelines, her prayer service and burial will be held privately.
