Pauline T. (LaBombard) Rubin, 87, longtime Auburn resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Coleman House of Northborough.

Born and raised in Auburn, Pauline was one of four daughters of the late George and Rosanna (Kenneway) LaBombard. She was baptized at St. Joseph’s Church in Auburn, and remained a lifelong parishioner and member of the Bible Study group. Pauline met and married her first husband, the late Maksymilian Rusin, and settled in her hometown to begin raising their family. She was a mother, homemaker, and Girl Scout Troup Leader while her daughters were young, then worked part-time as a home health aide for several years. Maksymilian predeceased her in 1965. In her later years, Pauline worked in the cafeteria of Polar Beverages in Worcester, from which she retired. Her second husband, the late Henry H. Rubin, predeceased her in 2009, after 27 years of marriage, love, and travel.

Pauline leaves her two daughters, including Annette Rusin and her husband, Mark Bischel, of Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren; and her sisters: Joan Downer, of Auburn, and Anita Chartier, of North Kingston, RI; as well as eight nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, first, and second husband, Pauline was predeceased by her sister, Doris D’Errico.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pauline’s family from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Friday, December 18, 2020, at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA with a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St. N., Auburn. Masks and social distancing will be required at the church and funeral home. Burial will be held privately at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
