Carolyn P. (Moser) Hussey, 85, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Jewish Healthcare Center, Worcester. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, the late Robert Hussey, in 2002.

Born and raised in New York City, New York, Carolyn was one of one of three daughters born to the late Philip and Beatrice (Schopps) Moser. She attended and graduated as a Registered Nurse from Westchester School of Nursing in New York City, prior to moving to Massachusetts. Carolyn then received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Administration from Worcester State College and began working for the former Fallon Senior Health Plan, as one of the founding employees, retiring in the late 90’s as a Director of the Fallon Community Health Plan. Also, in the 60’s and 70’s, she worked as a Nursing Instructor at Saint Vincent School of Nursing in Worcester, where she loved teaching her trade to others who shared the same passion.

In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed golfing in the Hillcrest Women’s League, travelling with her family, and spending time on tropical beaches including Aruba, Cancun and especially at her Boynton Beach residence during the winter.

Carolyn leaves her loving sons, Patrick P. Hussey, of Huntington Beach, CA; Michael J. Hussey and his wife, Maryellen, of South Yarmouth; Kevin J. Hussey, of Auburn; and Philip T. Hussey, of Auburn; her grandchildren: Timothy, Patrick and wife Abby, Colleen, Kara, Mac and wife Sarah, Olivia and husband Ben, Ian, Adam, Veronica, and Jonah; her sister, Barbara Capron, of Winston-Salem, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her sister, the late Judith Wikel, who passed in 2016.

The Hussey Family would also like to thank the Auburn Fire Department EMS staff for their professional services provided over the years, and the loving staff at the Jewish Healthcare Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carolyn’s family between 10:00 and 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, followed by a funeral Mass, celebrated at 11:00AM. Masks and social distancing will be required at the church; burial will be held privately for immediate family.
