Morin_AFDCaptain Greg Morin of the Bureau of Community Risk Reduction, Fire Prevention Division recently became credentialed as a Fire Prevention Officer I.

Last year the Department of Fire Services, in conjunction with the Divisions of Training and Fire Safety, introduced a multi-level training program for fire prevention officers. The training has prepared them to receive credentials for each level of the training from the State Fire Marshal.

Auburn Fire Rescue Department Chief Stephen M. Coleman Jr. says that the requirements for fire prevention officers are more complicated than ever before.
