Tropical Storm Isaias plowed into Central Mass. mid afternoon Tuesday. The storm brought some drenching rain, but mostly gusty winds that brought down trees and limbs, creating a mess on area roadways. Several homes were damaged by falling trees and branches, and power remains out to just over 3,000 Auburn residents as of Wednesday morning according to National Grid.

According to the Auburn Fire Rescue Facebook page, the department responded to 26 emergency calls in just over 4 hours between about 5pm and 9pm Tuesday. Auburn Police reported multiple roadways blocked due to fallen trees and power lines. Fortunately, there appear to be no reports of any serious injuries.

Massachusetts was under a tornado watch for most of Tuesday, and several tornado warnings were issued for far northern Worcester County. But there were no reports of tornadic activity in the Greater Worcester area. The weather for the remainder of the week looks to be much more stable with seasonable temperatures.
