Auburn switches trash and recycling provider

by | Jul 2, 2020

Effective July 1, 2020, Auburn has entered into a new solid waste and recycling hauler agreement with Casella Waste Systems.

According to a statement released by the Town of Auburn on July 1, the trash schedule and process will not change:

  • Collection day will not change
  • The bi-weekly recycling schedule will not change
  • You can continue using your current trash and recycling containers
  • Please continue to use Town-approved blue bags for overflow trash (available at Park N Shop, Shaws, and Price Chopper) that does not fit in the container with the lid fully closed, and continue to comply with Zero-Sort / Recycle Smart recycling guidelines.

“We expect a smooth transition, however, should you have any questions or concerns regarding your trash or recycling collection going forward, please contact Casella’s customer service department at (508) 869-4077” said the Town Solid Waste and Recycling Division in a statement.

For further questions, you can call the Town of Auburn’s Solid Waste and Recycling Coordinator in the DDIS office at (508) 832-7703.
