Pakachoag Church Community Garden offering plots, raised beds

by | Apr 30, 2020

This Spring, Eagle Scout to-be Ben Mousseau of Auburn constructed a number of raised beds and a composting station at the community garden located at Pakachoag Church, adjacent to the Pappas Recreational Complex, as his qualifying Eagle Scout project. Ben oversaw the planning and execution with material provided by the Pakachoag Church Fund for Human Understanding held at the Greater Worcester Community Foundation.

The beds are two different heights, one elevation suitable to be worked while standing and the other to be worked from a wheel chair or similar.

These beds join about a dozen other ground level plots. This will be the fourth season this community garden has been in operation, with plots available to any interested person or persons at no cost. Any produce grown is for the use of the gardener however she or he wishes.

The raised beds are not yet allocated, while two or three of the original plots remain available for this season. Please contact the church office by phone, 508 755-8718, or email, office@pakachoag.org, for details.
