Victorian Tea Party – A Time-Travel Experience at Auburn Library

by | Feb 26, 2020

Travel to the world of 1895, where visiting Auntie Eloise, a proper Victorian lady, welcomes guests to her ‘parlour’ for tea.

Guests will receive white gloves and fans upon check-in, and proceed back in time to a fun, informative experience where they will learn proper table manners, how to ‘speak’ with a fan, explain the ‘High Five’ to Auntie Eloise, and engage in other unique experiences.

This program is intended for children ages 7 and older with accompanying adult over age 18. Registration is required.
Adults must be registered and accompanying a child in order to attend this program. Children wishing to enjoy this program alone or with a friend of the same age are welcome, with consent from the Director. All entering this program must be registered for the tea party.

Decorated white gloves, fans, and etiquette cards are yours to keep. Desserts, lemonade, and other refreshments will be served.

Auntie Eloise is eloquently portrayed by Janet Parnes, owner of Historical Portrayals by Lady J.
