by | Oct 30, 2019

The Auburn Fire Rescue Department hosted its annual open house celebrating the Fire Awareness Month of October.

Families were treated to rides in the Tower 1 bucket, the KIDSafe smoke house, pizza and snacks. They also got the chance to meet AFRD’s latest addition, Riggly, the search and rescue canine.

Activities included AFRD’s fire extinguisher training, which consists of a wireless fire extinguisher model and a simulated fire. The system provides multiple difficulty levels and times the user’s reaction time to extinguishing the simulated flames.

Absolutely beautiful weather provided a great day for a great event!
