The Worcester Coalition for Education Equity (WCEE) to hold a State of Our Schools Legislative Breakfast on Thursday, October 10th from 8-10am at Belmont AME Zion Church, 55 Illinois St, Worcester, MA, to discuss with local, State and federal Stakeholders along with community, faith, education leaders and parents how we can start to rebuild trust and work collectively to work towards having a school system that delivers a high quality education to ALL its students.

We will review data, discuss legal implications for not meeting student deliverables and implementing MGL. C 222 appropriately.

In attendance, will be Congressman McGovern, City Manager Ed Augustus, the entire State Delegation, school committee members and city councilors, Worcester State University, City Lab, Lawyers for Civil Rights and Community Leaders.

The Worcester Coalition for Education Equity (WCEE) is a coalition of faith, community, education leaders, parents and youth that have come together to address the racial inequities of the Worcester Public Schools (WPS) that affect ALL students. Our goal is to work with the WPS administration, elected and appointed leaders and the community at large for greater transparency and accountability in decisions made on behalf of students and parents. We seek greater transparency, and policies and strategies that are data driven and have a track record of success with urban students in school districts.
