Join Auburn Public Library staff and Heather, from Hands on Nature™ for program four of the four-session Summer 2019 Camp Series Partnership. In the ‘Feathered Friends’ program, children learn about our local backyard birds and listen to their calls.
Heather will also bring artifacts such as real birds’ nests and other bird items of interest for children to examine. Children will make 1-2 simple feeders to take home to attract birds to their yards. Weather permitting, they will also take a well-chaperoned walk outside to explore birds’ habitats and listen for their calls.
The program is on Thursday August 22nd 11:00am – 12:00pm for ages 5-10. Check-in is at 11:00 in the Children’s Room for stories and discussions, followed by moving to the Merriam Room for the remainder of the program.
Registration is required: Register online from our website or call or visit the Library for assistance. Spaces are limited. Please be certain your child can attend before registering.
