The Highland Street Foundation ‘Free Fun Fridays’ for August 9 includes teh Worcester Historical Museum and numerous attractions across the state. The program is coordinated by the Highland Street Foundation and provides free entry to 100 museums and cultural events across the Commonwealth over the course of the summer.

This week’s attractions are:

  • Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park
  • Davis Museum at Wellesley College
  • Gore Place
  • Hancock Shaker Village
  • JFK Hyannis Museum
  • Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists
  • New Bedford Whaling Museum
  • Old Colony History Museum
  • Worcester Historical Museum
  • The Greenway Carousel
Since 2009, Free Fun Fridays have enabled local residents to visit treasured cultural venues and recreational activities throughout the state at no cost. The event series begins on Friday, June 28th and will continue through Friday, August 30th. Worcester-area attractions include the Worcester Art Museum, EcoTarium, Tower Hill Botanical Garden, Fruitlands Museum, the Worcester Historical Museum, Museum of Russian Icons and Old Sturbridge Village.
