Rec and Culture offers pickle ball lessons on Wednesdays

by | Jul 31, 2019

Auburn Recreation and Culture is offering pickle ball lessons at the Lemansky tennis courts every Wednesday this summer from 6-8pm. If the courts are wet, due to showers, lessons will resume the following week.

Instructor Elaine Bruso will introduce players to this up and coming game that is sort of like ping pong on a modified tennis court. Temporary lines are placed on a tennis court surface to create a pickle ball court. The game is played with paddles instead of stringed racquets, and uses a plastic ball resembling a wiffle ball instead of a tennis ball.

The sessions are free and open to all ages. Equipment is provided.
