AHS Girls Tennis working their way back

The Auburn High girls tennis program has a history of success. But after losing key players to graduation in 2017, the team has been in a rebuilding mode. According to coach James Adams, 2018 was a tough season with the Rockets only taking 4 matches. This season he expects to surpass that mark.

“We don’t have any seniors in key playing positions, se we are a very young team” said Adams before AHS took on Holy Name last Wednesday afternoon.

Ultimately, the Rockets dropped a tight match to Holy Name 3 – 2, with Tori Robichaud prevailing over Bella Diorio 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 and Lacey Boulay/Amanda Loftus defeating  Emily Vo/Anna Pyche 6-2 | 6-3.
