The Auburn High School Marching Bands debuted their new uniforms during Tuesday’s pep rally. Inclement weather prevented the band from playing at the football game’s halftime, but they did get the National Anthem in. As seems typical with these purchases, the uniforms arrived weeks beyond the expected date.

Drum Major Tayla Foulkrod led the band into the gym where they performed for their peers. The percussion section added some variety as two members laid on their backs and alternated elevating their drums while they were being played. All the while, the Color Guard did routines with flags.

The efforts of the students along with AHS band director Virginia Bailey have been very apparent this fall. Performances at home football games have been great, and this is certainly a program on the rise. Collin Meyers, James Joinville, Ray Dandurand, and Krissi Forgues also deserve recognition for their hours of dedication.
