Firefighters Makes Quick Work of Garage Blaze

Auburn Fire Rescue responders quickly extinguished a small garage fire on Stone St. last night.  This is the second garage fire in as many weeks for the department.

Firefighters responded to 54 Stone Street at 9:36 pm. Tuesday night.  Upon arrival crews found a small fire in the garage which was quickly extinguished.  The electrical inspector was called to the scene.  The cause of the fire is under investigation, although the Auburn Fire Investigation Unit says that it is not suspicious.

At about the same time, Auburn Fire was responding to a motor vehicle accident at the junction of Route 12 and Route 20, in front of 99 Restaurant.  At least one occupant was taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Earlier in the afternoon, Auburn Fire Rescue responded to an auto accident on Rt. 20 near Lundgren Honda that resulted in one person being transported to a local hospital and tying up traffic on the busy road.
