Auburn Farmers’ & Cultural Market this Sunday, Sept 30

by | Sep 29, 2018

The monthly Auburn Farmers’ & Cultural Market will be held this Sunday, September 30, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Riley-Pappas Performance Pavilion in the Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex at 203A Pakachoag Street. The market is held rain or shine, with neighboring Pakachoag Church serving as the inside location during inclement weather.

Each market event features products from local farms and businesses, with a variety of products ranging from farm fresh food and dairy to handmade jewelry and gifts.  Each market day will feature live music and activities for kids.

This month, to celebrate fall, there will be live music, kids games, pumpkins and a pie eating contest. Pie eating contests begin at 11:30. Sign-up at 11 (first come, first serve).  Come, win some prizes, and fill your belly before the Patriots game or just witness the craziness.

The result of a joint effort between Pakachoag Church, the Town of Auburn – Recreation and Culture, and the Auburn Cultural Council, the Auburn Farmers’ & Cultural Market was formed to provide Auburn residents with access to locally grown and produced food and to help shine a spotlight on local small businesses. More information about the market can be found on Facebook @AuburnFCM.

The market is held on the last Sunday of each month, June through October.
