Monday’s game against Division 1 Wachusett Regional High School proved just how powerful a team the Rockets truly are. Auburn entered the game with an astonishing 16-0 record, but the girls didn’t rely on that. Throughout the match, both teams fought hard for the victory, and the game was certainly the most challenging to date for the Rockets.

Eight minutes in, Jamie McNamara scored with an assist from Jordan Lavallee. McNamara added a second unassisted goal, and in the second half completed the hat trick with Lavallee’s assist. Wachusett’s Jen Windler  and Ally Shaw both scored in the second, but these goals didn’t get in the heads of the Rockets. Auburn continued to fight hard, wanting this win.

With 13:51 left in the game, defender Carly Zona scored with an assist from McNamara on a corner. Rockets goalie, sophomore Abby Lucas, made 13 saves during the game. Auburn will now enter their last regular season game at Tantasqua on Thursday with an incredible 17-0 record. On September 21, the Rockets defeated the Warriors 5-0.
