Pakachoag Church Looking to Launch “Eco-Auburn” Initiative.

by | Jun 14, 2016

In an effort to respond to a religiously and socially perceived mandate to promote responsible, sustainable, living, Pakachoag Church is inviting any interested, or just curious, persons to gather at the Church, 203 Pakachoag Street, June 14, at 7:00 p.m., for an informational time of sharing ideas.

The Church has abundant open land adjacent to the Pappas Recreational Complex and would like to devote some of that land to a Community Garden. In addition, a number of persons have expressed an interest in promoting a Farmers’ Market that could also be hosted on the Church property.

In addition, the leadership is interested in gathering ideas about other related kinds of efforts, such as composting, bee keeping, and more effective recycling, that could tie into the first two priorities of a Community Garden and Farmers’ Market.

For further information, you may call the Church office, 508-755-8718, weekdays 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, consult the website,, or email,
