A. Beatrice “Bea” (Carlson) Mills, 92, of Oxford, formerly of Auburn died Monday, April 11, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Beatrice was born in Webster, daughter of the late J. Albert and Anna (Berthold) Carlson. She graduated from Bartlett High School and became a legal secretary after her secretarial training. Beatrice had worked as a legal secretary for many years at the Law Firm of Mirick, O’Connell, DeMallie & Lougee in Worcester before she retired.
Beatrice was a longtime member of Saint Matthew’s Episcopal in Worcester. She enjoyed camping with her family, tending to her cats and going for a good long walk.
Her husband, Melvirn Mills died in 1996. She is survived by a son, Thomas Mills and his wife, Elizabeth of Oxford; and her great granddaughter, Ashley Sweet of Oxford who was Beatrice’s primary caregiver for the past four years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Beatrice’s family on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 AM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn. Funeral services will follow
at 11 AM in Saint Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge St, Worcester. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to MSPCA (www.mspca.org).
