photo_165440_WT0039653_1_victorbartlett_20160411Victor J. Bartlett, Jr., 89, of Auburn died Sunday, April 3, 2016 in the Life Care Center of Auburn surrounded by his loving family.

Victor was born and raised in Auburn on January 18, 1927. He was a son of the late Victor J. Bartlett, Sr., and Ida (Brodeur) Bartlett. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and proudly served his country with the United States Navy during W.W. II. Victor had lived in Southbridge for many years before moving back to Auburn in 2011 to be closer to family.

Victor had worked for over 20 years as a Stationary Fireman for Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester until he retired. Victor loved being with his family. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed all Boston sports, but LOVED his New England Patriots.

His wife of 27 years, Shirley A. (Terrien) Bartlett died in 2006. He leaves his beloved daughters, Linda M. O’Brien and her husband, Thomas, Patricia A. Israelian and her husband, Harvey, Carol L. Mulvey and her husband, Patrick all of Auburn and Vicki L. Krom and her husband, Mark of North Grosvenordale, CT; two step-sons, Brian and Bruce Leduc; two sisters, Rose and Eva and the mother of his four daughters, Elaine Bartlett of Auburn; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Victor’s family for a memorial calling hour on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 10-11 AM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Burial with military honors will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Veterans Inc., 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
