Frost Greets Government Day Students

On Friday, April 1, 2016, Representative Paul K. Frost (R-Auburn) met Auburn High School students Karla Kahale and Riley Simmons at the State House for the 69th Annual Student Government Day. Karla served as the State Representative and Riley served as the House Alternate.

Pictured here with the Representative and Auburn teachers Spencer Kennard and Vincent Benacchio, Karla and Riley joined other students from across the Commonwealth for a simulated hearing on current legislation, which was followed by a simulated Joint Session in the House Chamber.

Frost commented, “It’s always a great pleasure to welcome students from the district who come out to the State House for Student Government Day.  It’s important young people learn how their government works and this program is a way of giving these students a snapshot of that. I hope Karla and Riley left not only informed, but inspired to step up as the future leaders of our great state.  I wish them both all the best in their futures and hope they remain involved and active young adults.”
