Scholarships Offered by Webster Dudley Oxford Chamber of Commerce

Sharpen your pencils! The Webster Dudley Oxford Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that scholarships are being offered to graduating high school students who plan to continue their education in either a post-secondary school or a trade.

Two types of scholarships are available to senior students who attend Bartlett Jr. /Sr. High School, Oxford High School, Shepherd Hill Regional High School or Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School:

  1. Academic Scholarship – Awarded to a student continuing their education in an accredited post-secondary school.
  2. Career-Trade Scholarship – Awarded to a student who is going into a trade.  Scholarship funds will be received solely for the purchase of tools for the trade.

One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to each school for the 2016 year to the highest scorer of an Academic or Career Trade Scholarship.

Also – A Chamber Member Scholarship will be awarded to a child of a Webster Dudley Oxford Chamber Member, which includes all of the member employees.

The Chamber’s Philip L. Hopkins Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 will be awarded to a Chamber Members child.  The student is not required to attend the schools within our community.  Please note that Chamber Members are considered to be any employee that works for a current Webster Dudley Oxford Chamber Member company.

All scholarships will be awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement, community and school involvement, financial need and essay responses.

The deadline for submitting applications to the Chamber is Friday, March 18, 2018.  Any applications postmarked after this date will not be accepted.
