When the boys ice hockey season opened in December with a 9-0 victory, fans probably hoped “this will be the year.” Well, that was not to be, but fans did get to see some great games and a total of 7 wins. And, many of the losses were tight, competitive games.

On last Wednesday’s Senior Night, the game started in the Rockets’ favor when Paul O’Leary scored at 6:42 assisted by Adam Clark and Sean Burke. Hopkinton tied the game in the second period and put up 2 more goals in the third to win 3-1.

Cam Carpenter had 15 saves and Donald Ganley had 16 saves for the Rockets.

Five seniors were recognized by the team, and they certainly will be missed next season: Nicholas Bonzey, Sean Burke, Adam Clark, Paul O’Leary, and Nicholas Shiner.
