AG’s Office to Host Community Action Hours for Greater Worcester Muslim Community

Attorneys, Mediators, and Investigators to Hold Information Sessions and Answer Questions From Community Members

BOSTON – Continuing her commitment to fight for and protect the civil rights of all residents of Massachusetts, Attorney General Maura Healey announced her office will be holding Community Action Hours for the Muslim Community in Greater Worcester this Friday.

Staff from the AG’s Office met recently with leaders of the Muslim community in Greater Worcester to foster a dialogue and establish a plan to ensure a peaceful and supportive environment for all communities.

On Friday, staff from the AG’s Office including attorneys, mediators and investigators will be on hand to answer questions from community members on a variety of topics including civil rights, workers’ rights, housing, health care, consumer issues and insurance. Staff will also be conducting an information session for community members outlining their civil rights protections.

Community Action Hours, a new initiative under the AG’s Community Engagement Division, aim to bring the resources of the Attorney General’s Office directly into communities at times that are convenient for working people and their families.

The event is open to the public and is being offered free of charge.
