Girls Hockey Drops Tough Game to Leominster

Girls Hockey came out strong in the first period, and Julia Crowley scored at 5:36 with a Hunter Bailey assist. Leominster scored about three minutes later, but Auburn pulled ahead at 10:42 when Crowley struck again assisted by Bailey and Nicole Berthiaume. It was nice to see Auburn ahead at the end of a period.

The Blue Devils owned the second period and scored 4 times to make it 5-2. Less than a minute into the third, Leominster scored again, but Katie Mason answered with an unassisted score on a power play. At 10:46, Berthiaume scored with assists by Mason and Nicole Bousquet, but 2 additional Leominster goals gave them the win, 8-4.

The Rockets were shooting throughout the game, and Shelby Guinard had 24 saves for the Blue Devils. Colleen Fellows had 15 saves for Auburn.
