Road Rage Incident Leads to Charges

Auburn Police asked for the public’s help on their social media pages Saturday, after a road rage incident on Rt. 12 and Auburn St.  According to police, the incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. Saturday when two drivers had a confrontation near the light in front of the Auburn Fire Rescue Department headquarters.

Police said the incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. Saturday. The suspect, driving a Toyota Tacoma, allegedly got out of his vehicle and smashed the front windshield of a 2015 Tesla with his bare hands. The victim’s two young children were also inside the vehicle. The names of the parties involved were not available at the time of this writing.

The incident was shared on the APD Twitter feed, along with a photo of the suspect vehicle, and an officer was ultimately able to identify the suspect. According to reports, the suspect will be summoned on a charge of destruction of property over $250.
