Monday was a busy day for the Rockets, and field hockey led the way with a 1-0 victory over Wachusett on the road. Anna Matthews scored the only goal of the game while Abby Lucas recorded her first shutout of the season.

Boys golf lost to Oxford, 6.5-2.5, despite Jack Scavone’s 2 over 38 on the nine hole Pakachoag course. The Rockets redeemed themselves yesterday by beating Hudson, 219-225.

Girls soccer earned a 1-1 tie against rival Millbury at home. In the 73rd minute, Sam Moreau sank a corner kick after the Millbury keeper punched the powerful shot and the ball deflected off the cross bar and into the net. Unfortunately, 2 minutes later, Millbury scored off their own corner to tie the game. Auburn Mass Daily will run a slide show tomorrow on this game.

Boys soccer lost a tough game to Millbury, 3-2. Dean Lemansky picked up a ball dropped by the keeper and scored on an open net. He later scored on a PK. Auburn looked terrific, and they are the subject of today’s slide show.
