2014 Rocket Race

The third annual Rocket Race to benefit Auburn Youth and Family Services will be held this Sunday, September 27, 2015. The race features a 10k, 5k, and 1k Fun Run (kids under 10 only). The race starts and ends at Auburn High School.

Participants can still register online at:

This year, the event will feature RaceWire timing for real-time splits and Top Finisher results. In addition to the run, there will also be a bounce-house, free Coco’s Ice (1 free per child under 17, additional servings for purchase), and other healthy activities for kids. Jake from the Worcester Bravehearts will be around to help runners warm up, cheer on the kids, and give away Bravehearts tickets to a few lucky participants.

All runners, including adult and child race-day registrants, will receive a goodie bag. The first 50 adult runners are guaranteed a long-sleeved, navy cotton tee. Additional shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The top 3 Male and Female finishers in 10k and 5k categories will receive a medal. All 1k Fun Runners will receive a ribbon.

All proceeds go directly to Auburn Youth and Family Services.  All ages and skill levels are welcome to this fun-filled, healthy day.  Also, bring your can(s) of food for the AYFS Food Drive.
