Auburn PD to present safety registration program for persons with disabilities

by | Aug 11, 2015

Representatives from the Auburn Police Department will be presenting “Take Me Home: Keep Me Safe”, a registration program designed to assist first responders and caregivers in the event of an emergency.

The program is geared to autistic children and adults with Alzheimer’s, but can also be utilized for people of any disability. Individuals who register themselves or a loved one will provide information that will help police and fire better assist the individual and family if they are in need. The program also helps authorities to locate an individual with autism or Alzheimer’s who may wander.

The program is Thursday August 13, at 10AM at the Auburn Senior Center, 4 Goddard Dr., Auburn.  The presentation is free to attend, but registration is requested.  You can call (508) 832-7799 to register.
