TAMY Awards recognize local student-thespians

The 2014-15 TAMY Award nominations included several Auburn students. The TAMYs are high school musical awards sponsored by Mount Wachusett Community College’s Theatre at the Mount.  The TAMYs recognize exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theatre in area high schools.

Edward Lindem, an Auburn High Senior, was nominated for Not Your Average Chorus Member, and received a NYACM Medal.

Renee Morin was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Paulette in Auburn High’s production of Legally Blonde.  Renee is a sophomore at AHS.

Kat Meyer was nominated for Best Actress for her portrayal of the baker’s wife in Hudson High School’s production of Into the Woods.  Meyer is a senior at Hudson High School where she attends through school choice.

The TAMY gala award ceremony was held on May 31.  While our Auburn students did not receive the TAMYs, they certainly earned this recognition, as was apparent to anyone who attended Legally Blonde or Into the Woods.  Congratulations to all these performers and their families.
