On Sunday, May 17, 2015 coaches, board members and sponsors of Auburn Fastpitch Softball for girls ages 5 to 16, played in a charity softball game vs media personalities and staff from regional radio shows, Charter –TV 3, the Worcester Bravehearts and Worcester Sharks. The game was held at the Auburn High School Softball field and a raffle was held to benefit Auburn Youth and Family Services.
Auburn Fastpitch pulled out a 2 run victory which featured home runs over the fence, triples and some great catches and plays by both teams. Girls from the league took the roll of coaches to give their adult coaches advice before and during the game. Fun was had by all in both promoting softball and helping out a local charity.
Auburn Fastpitch Softball thanks the members of the media who came out to play as well as Tim Cluett of Top Cat Disc Jockey Service for providing the sound system and wireless mics the different personalities from radio, TV and area pro-teams used to comment about the game and one another. Please visit www.AuburnFastpitch.com or LIKE Auburn Fastpitch League on Facebook for more information on the league and its activities on and off the field.
