Young Baseball Players Thrive at Clinic

While covering a track meet on Wednesday morning, I observed a parade of ball players coming from the high school to the baseball diamond. Mixed in with the 8 to 13 year old players were members of Auburn High’s baseball program led by Eric Swedberg.

In the eleventh year of the Rocket Classic Baseball Clinic, Swedberg brings a wealth of knowledge to these young players. Wednesday was hitting/offense day, and attendees learned how to safely throw the bat after a hit, make proper use of the clay, and make the turns around the bases.

It was clear these baseball players were having a good time. Have a look.
