Auburn High graduate and field hockey standout, Jackie Matthews, was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate Division II National Academic Squad for this past fall.  Matthews attends St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT, where she is a member of the field hockey team.

The National Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes that have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year, while the team award recognizes programs that achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA during the first semester.

A nation-leading 22 members of the St. Michael’s field hockey team qualified for the award, making the Purple Knights one of just 25 Division II teams to earn the NFHCA team award.
