Members of the National Honor Society at Auburn High School recently put together gift boxes for deployed American Servicemen. Co-advisor Spencer Kennard said each NHS member was asked to bring in one item, but most brought in dozens. There were also generous donations from the AHS faculty and staff.
The gifts quickly filled the 12 planned boxes, and they assembled closer to 20. Fun things like DVD’s and games were mixed with necessities like deodorant and snacks.
The other advisor is Bethany Dunton, and both were thrilled with this year’s effort. This is an annual event for the National Honor Society.
